At the heart of the hills of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Galleria Enoteca Veneta is housed in the evocative building that once contained the historic stables of the “Giovanni Battista Cerletti” School of Oenology in Conegliano, Italy’s oldest school of oenology, founded in 1876.
A landmark of Italian wine culture and winemaking history, today transformed into a welcoming space dedicated to food and wine.
We chose to celebrate this heritage by creating a restaurant and pizzeria that brings together historic identity and contemporary cuisine, selecting high-quality ingredients and local specialties.
Here, tradition meets innovation in a food and wine experience that tells the story of the region, its history and its most authentic spirit.
The historic “Giovanni Battista Cerletti” School of Oenology in Conegliano, founded in 1876, is an institution that has played a fundamental role in shaping Italian and European wine culture. Over the years, it has educated generations of oenologists, researchers and wine professionals, making a decisive contribution to the scientific and qualitative development of Italian viticulture.
Cerletti is not simply a school, but a symbol of the region. It was here that fundamental innovations in modern oenology were developed, where figures who transformed the way vines are cultivated and wine is produced were trained, and where the international reputation of the Prosecco hills — now a UNESCO World Heritage Site — was built.
It is precisely within this historic setting that our project was born. We chose to give new life to these historic spaces by creating a venue that reflects the traditions and values of the region: a culture of food, quality ingredients and respect for tradition.
Our cuisine is based on the careful selection of ingredients, quality supply chains, certified products and local and Italian specialties, offering a contemporary gastronomic experience that remains deeply connected to the region.
